Vaishali Shadangule draws inspiration from her ability to observe and listen, allowing her designs to speak for themselves. Born in the small town of Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, Vaishali’s journey into the fashion world has been an inspiring tale. Vaishali Shadangule realized her passion at a very young age, and has been experimenting with hand-woven textiles and designs for almost two decade now. Vidisha is a place where traditional crafts are a part of one’s daily routine, hence the adaptation to her craft was natural. Vaishali is a creative powerhouse and also works with art and classical music when time permits. Vaishali is always optimistic and chooses to rely on the honesty and authenticity of her work, which is certain to keep the audience enraptured.
An avid explorer whose ears are trained to follow the compelling ‘clack-clack’ of distant looms that promise variegated palette and texture, Vaishali, travels there with gusto. Vaishali believes that India is a rich source of weaving; so much so that she thinks the supply of these precious skilled artisans exceed the world’s sources.
